Punjab Institute of Engineering & Applied Research (PIER), Mohali was established in 2008.

The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University.

The college PIER is the latest addition to the Punjab group of Colleges, Lalru Mandi.

College is striving to become a synonym for growth, spiritual progress, intellectual development, fortification of the skills and competence and the desire to contribute to the Society, State and the Nation.

College is managed by Guru Nanak Dev Educational and Charitable Society (GNDECS).

The effort is to provide Engineering education and technical services in a way that addresses the demanding needs of the industry, with an applied research approach towards creativity.
