Public College, Kottayam was popularly known as Kottayam Public College, Kottayam, established in 1984.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

The aim of the college focused on developing the right skills and orientation in students, as well as on giving special focus on the all-round development of students instead of just academic excellence.

It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Kottayam played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Public College has achieved a leading position in the field of education by imparting correspondence course through its branches at Kottayam, Ernakulam, Bangalore, Chennai etc. In Ernakulam, Public College is situated near A.C.S School, Pavakulam Temple road, Kaloor.
