Prof.Dhanapalan College for Women, Chennai was established in 1991.

Its affiliated to Madras University.

The college is managed under Vaiyapuri Mudaliar Educational Foundation.

Vaiyapuri Mudaliar Educational Foundation started by Prof.R.V.Dhanapalan in memory of his father.

Vision & Mission:

The college has become one of the premier institutions and a major player in the Indian Women’s education.

The College aims to provide education for life in general rather than providing isolated specialization; with this mission in mind, making the college a Laboratory of Philosophy to achieve social efficiency and impregnating the students with a sense of ethics tempered with erudition and inculcating in them the cultural values, thus shaping them into ideal citizens.
