Premlila Vithaldas Polytechnic -S.N.D.T. Women's University (PVPSNDT), Mumbai was established in 1976 by the university to set the pace for job-oriented technical courses.

The polytechnic is approved and recognized by AICTE, PCI and BOAT (Board of Apprenticeship Training), an autonomous body of Ministry of HRD, Dept. of Higher Education and Govt. of India has approved and recognized the courses run in Diploma in Electronics, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
