The Post Graduate College, Ghazipur was founded in 1957. It is affiliated to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur.

Its affiliated college of the University of Gorakhpur in July, 1957 as the first Degree College of the Ghazipur district and is accredited with B++ grade by NAAC.The college is established under section 2(f) of U.G.C. Act. At present, the college has four faculties viz. Arts, Science, Agriculture and Education.

A Post Graduate College was established in July 1957 in Ghazipur city, famous for its historical and ancient glory located on National Highway - 29, 75 KM East of Varanasi. The collegeis located three kilometers south Ghazipur City Railway station in Ravindrapuri (Gora Bazar).
