Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Pune was established in 1970.

Its affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) by the Anjuman Khairul Islam (A.K.I.) Mumbai and is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) at the junior college level and to the University of Pune at the senior college level.

The college has been accredited by NAAC and was awarded 'A' grade.

The Poona College is also the first college in Pune to be selected by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi for the introduction of Computer Maintenance course at the degree level as a part of the UGC programs.

The college also imparts teaching for vocational course of Electronics and information Technology at the junior college level.
