Patna Law College was established in the year 1909.
It remained as Government Law College with complete management control of Directorate of Public Instruction, Bihar, Patna until 1st January 1952, thereafter the College became the constituent unit of Patna University and is continuing as such.
The Patna Law College is permanently recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
It is a college, which enjoys permanent affiliation by the Bar Council of India, imparts instructions as per the updated syllabi prescribed by the B.C.I.
for Three-year Law course leading to LL.B Degree of the Patna University and the Students are awarded Law Degree after successful completion of the Three-year course and Passing all the Three-year course and passing all the three Law Examination(LL.B. Part I ,Part II, Part III) conducted by the University.
