Pandua College of Education (PCE), Hooghly was established in 2008.

The college offers regular face-to-face Bachelor of Education programme of one-year duration. It is a co-educational institute.

The college is affiliated to University of Burdwan, West Bengal and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Competent and devoted lecturers are associated with the college to train its students. The college is equipped with all the basic facilities.

The institute is located in two minutes walking distance from Pandua Railway Station on Howrah-Burdhaman Main Line and also from Station Bazar Bus Stand. The College comes under the University of Burdwan.

This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state.

The jurisdiction of the university spreads across five districts of West Bengal - Burdwan, Hooghly (excluding Serampore Subdivision), Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia, nourishing more than 100 colleges.

The University of Burdwan offers a wide array of courses to the students. This university is offering under graduate, post graduate, M.Phil, Doctoral and post doctoral programs on various subjects. The University is facilitated with various type of modern infrastructure.

The University comprises of five faculties as Arts, Commerce, Law, Science and Engineering.
