Padmashri Vikhe Patil College of Arts Science & Commerce, Ahmednagar was established in 1971.

Its affiliated to University of Pune

The college is managed under Pravara Rural Education Society, Pravaranagar.

The initial strength of 110 students and 8 staff has now gone up to 4071 students and 298 teaching staff, bears testimony to the phenomenal growth of this full fledged college.

The college has Arts, Science and Commerce faculties and offers instruction from plus two to post graduate levels.

Due recognition of this feat was acknowledged by the University Grants Commission which bestowed on their status of Lead College of Ahmednagar District.

The post graduate courses offered by this college include M.A. M.Com and M.Sc. in almost all the disciplines.

The post graduate departments of Botany and Chemistry have been recognized as Research Centers by the University of Pune.
