P.N.Das College, Parganas was established in 1962.

Its managed by late Debesh Das, a timber merchant by profession.

The college started with a few students and it was affiliated to the University of Calcutta as a co-educational degree college in the 1962-63 sessions.

Presently the college is affiliated with the newly established West Bengal State University.

It was also registered with the University Grants Commission long ago and has received financial aids in various forms time to time.

The main aim of the institution is to give its pupils a congenial atmosphere of learning, by taking individual care of each student and building up an intimate relationship between the teachers and the taught.
