is a self financing College functioning from the academic year 2000-2001.The Institution is managed by the P.M.R. Educational Trust - a philanthropic organization for providing quality Engineering education. Mr.P.M.Raj is the Founder and President of PMR Institute of Technology.

The college is spread over a vast area which covers the college buildings and the hostels and also other buildings. The library of the college is a very huge one with a wide collection of books and journals.

There are about more than 33,438 documents, 1218 journals and 210 periodicals. There is also the existence of departmental libraries. Apart from this their are also hostel facilities for the students.
