Govt. College Ordinance Factory, Khamriya (Dist. Jabalpur) was popularly known as Govt. O.F.K.College, Khamriya was established in 1980 by the Ordnance Factory, Khamriya. Later the college became Autonomous and undertaken by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh on 12th September 1985.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 8th October 1980 under Act, 1992.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 10th February 2007.

The aim of the college was constantly striving towards fulfilling its goal of providing higher educational opportunities to rural students from economically and socially disadvantaged classes and providing value based education to ignite young minds to become responsible citizens.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Jabalpur played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations and two years of a postgraduate course in Arts and Commerce with various specializations under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.

State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus

The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
