Nutan Mahavidyalaya, Sailu was established in 1968.

Its Affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University.

It is an institute run by the famous educational Trust named Nutan Vidyalaya Shikshana Sanstha, Sailu which is established in 1939 and is awarded with "BEST EDUCATIONAL TRUST" award by the Govt. Of Maharashtra in 2001.

The educational trust played a notable role in the freedom struggle against Nijam.

There are various great names related with our shikshan sanstha such as Swami Ramanand Teerth, Anantrao Bhalerao, Shankarrao Mandlik Guruji, G.B.Deshmukh, Sonaji Guruji, D.R. Kulkarni etc. Mr.Shriramji Bhangdiya is the key person in the history of the educational trust.

The foundation stone of Nutan Mahavidyalaya, Sailu had been laid by the former union minister and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr.Shankarraoji Chavan.

The College is established in accord with the guidelines of the govt. of Maharashtra.

The College was affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad till 1994, later affiliated to Swami Ramanand Marathwada University, Nanded.
