NSHM School of Hotel Management, Durgapur was set up with the backing of NSHM Knowledge Campus. The institute has proved to be a pioneer in hotel management education in East India and found immense success.

NSHM School of Hotel Management, Durgapur is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata. This was formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.

The institute is recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The hotel management institute offers undergraduate and add-on certificate courses in hotel management fields.

The NSHM Knowledge Campus is regarded as one of the ten best hotel management colleges in India. Admission to the college is possible through a test conducted by JEHOM, a common admission test conducted for students who want to get admission into hotel management colleges and is totally based on merit. Counseling is also provided to the students who pass the test.
