Noorul Islam College of Engineering(NICE), Kumaracoil was established in 1989.

It is affiliated to Anna University.

The college is run by the Noorul Islam educational trust and looked after by its founder chairman Dr. A.P. Majeed khan.

To be recognized by the Goverment and society at large as an institution able to deliver excellence with relevance in the field of higher education and research focusing on the needs of the nation in tune with the technological revolution to cope up with the knowledge explosion and global competence.

To develop the institution as Centre of Excellence, keeping pace with the advances in the field, so as to provide quality higher Education to the students and instill in them high standards of discipline and ethics so that they become enlightened individuals in the service of Humanity and to carry out focused Research in frontier areas of Science and Technology.
