Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, Mangalore was established in 1997 to impart degree and postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy.
It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, is approved by the Government of Karnataka and recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
Nitte Education Trust was founded in 1979 by Justice K S Hegde, Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
Justice Hegde strongly believed that education is pivotal to the overall progress of a community and this vision saw the birth of the Nitte Education Trust.
After the death of the founder, his son, Mr. N V Hegde has taken up the task of transforming his dreams into reality.
