Narmada College of Science & Commerce (NCSC), Bharuch was established in 1985.

Its affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University.

The year 1985 marked the inception of Narmada College of Science and Commerce, an institute that would change the lives of thousands of young minds in and around Bharuch. NCSC is the first English Medium College, situated in the industrially developing district of Bharuch. To meet the growing needs of various industries in the district, especially in Bharuch & Ankleshwar, NCSC was started by the Narmada Education and Scientific Research Society, a Trust set - up under the leadership of Shri N. Vittal IAS, the then M.D., GNFC with the whole hearted cooperation of prominent citizens and leading industrialists of the area.

Initially started the was courses of B.Sc (Chemistry/Computer Science and Electronics) and B.Com were started in 1985. Down the line, in 1998 the first self-financed programme of the college i.e. BBA was started to create new age young professionals in management for various manufacturing and service organizations of the district. Later, keeping with the times, in 2009, the second self-financed programme of the college i.e. BCA was started to cater to the needs of industries for IT personnel. In academic year 2005, the courses of M.Com and M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) were also introduced to meet the higher education needs of students to enable them to secure higher positions in organizations.

Narmada College of Science and Commerce is a highly renowned educational institution in Bharuch district known for imparting quality education to students in English medium in the areas of science and commerce at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

It is housed in a lush green campus which provides an environment conducive to learning with good amenities and facilities. The campus is located very close to the national highway no.48, railway station (6.00 kms). It is surrounded on all sides by 7 industrial estates and one SEZ of the district.

To serve as a launching pad for the aspiring learners, to fulfill the needs of the industries and the society, by equipping them with requisite knowledge and skills through value based education.

GOALS

To usher in value - based education with special emphasis on Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Commerce and Business Administration.

To develop a cadre of technocrats and young men and women with managerial and administrative training.
To serve as a launching pad for aspiring students to enter the profession of their choice by equipping them with adequate knowledge and skills at the undergraduate and post graduate level.
