Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT), Thrissur established in 1998.

Its affiliated to University of Calicut.

In 2004, the college was awarded the 'Best Hotel Management Institute' by the Department of Tourism, Govt.of Kerala.

It is the first college in Kerala to offer a univeristy degree in Hotel Management from the University of Calicut.
