N.S. Patel Arts College, Anand was established on 15th June 1970 under the management of Sardar Patel Education Trust, Anand and awarded as a "College with Potential for Excellence" by UGC, New Delhi in the year 2010-11.

It is one of the premier institutions established with a view to imparting value-based education at an affordable cost to the people, especially girls of Milk City Anand and its surrounding villages.

The college is affiliated to the Sardar Patel University, Anand and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 21st September 1976 under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade.

The first venture of Sardar Patel Education Trust, the college came into being through the generous donation of Rs. 1,11,111/- by Late Shri Naranbhai Shankarbhai Patel.

The college, today, stands at the entrance of the trust welcoming all seeking value based knowledge by running various courses of Humanities and Social Sciences at UG and PG level in addition to the professional courses like MSW, MPA OR M.A. in Public Administration, and MHRM. At present, the college offers 29 courses including BA, MA, MSW, MHRM, MPA to shape the young minds of the society.

The aim of this college is to broaden the outlook of students by emphasizing the values and virtues of life through education inclusive of positive thinking, develop analytical skills, moral, social and aesthetic values.

For the teachers of this college, teaching is a religion, a lifetime commitment and a profession and not just an occupation. The teachers strive to keep them abreast at least with the latest development in their own fields.
