Murshidabad Adarsha Mahavidyalaya(MAM), Murshidabad was established in 1981.

This is a Private, Self financing and Co-education College.

The college was established with a mission to provide excellence in education at the undergraduate level to the students of all communities and especially to the financially backward students in the rural area.

All academic activities are carried out in accordance with the prescribed syllabi, examination schedules and academic calendar of the Kalyani University.

The college has state-of-the-art infrastructure. The college comes under the University of Kalyani, established in 1960 with a campus area of over 400 acres in Kalyani town. It caters mostly to the students of rural and back ward areas.
