Mumtaz College, Hyderabad was established in 1957.

The Mumtaz College was affiliated to Osmania University.

The college is maintained by the Trustees of Mumtaz Yar-ud-Dowla wakf.

Their dearest wishes were fulfilled when as a science college.

Set in Spacious grounds Mumtaz College is ideally situated in an atmosphere of calm and seclusion to cater to the ever increasing educational needs of the citizens of Hyderabad.

The botanical garden in the quardrangle adds beauty and grandeur to their campus.

From the point of buildings and grounds Mumtaz College is second to none. Nawab mumtaz Yarud Dowla established the Asafia School in the year 1896.
