Mount Tabor Training College, Kollam was established in 1960.

Its managed under the management of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

The College is affiliated to University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

Mount Tabor Training College is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram is a unit of an educational complex at Pathanapuram instituted by His Grace the Late Most Rev. Marthoma Dionysius Metropolitan of the Orthodox Syrian Church.

The Society of the Order of the Sacred Transfiguration Mount Tabor, Pathanapuram is the Educational Agency which runs the college.

The College has nine teaching and nine non-teaching staff. The College has a well-equipped library.

The College is also running a hostel for ladies in the campus which can accommodate 90 students.

The College got first rank at the B.Ed Degree examinations in 1976, ‘89 and ‘96 and has instituted a number of prizes such as Dr. George Memorial Prize, the Mar Thoma Dionysius Prize etc.
