Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce (MMCC), Pune was established in 1986 and managed by Marathwada Mitra Mandal which was established on 19th January 1967.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in their part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
 
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.19 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 21st April 2012.

The Marathwada Mitra Mandal has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India having K.G. to P.G.

The history of the college is the Trust started the College of Architecture with the introduction of the first year of degree (B. Arch.) Course in Architecture in July 1985. In the same year, the Trust started a School of Interior Design offers a Full-time Diploma in Interior Design.

Later the managing committee realizing the need and significance of 'Commerce' education opened a Commerce College in 1986, which has been steadily and surely growing and developing with outstanding academic results and all other achievements.

The college has divided into two wings viz. junior and senior. The junior and senior wings contribution in the field of commerce & business has been due to its relevant academic programs and efficient and dedicated faculty.

The Junior Wing of the college offers courses in 'Commerce' and 'Science' also offers minimum competency 'Vocational courses' under the rules and regulations of the Maharashtra State Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The senior wing of the college which offers undergraduate (B.Com.) and postgraduate (M.Com.) courses in commerce are affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

It is a co-educational private institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Pune played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

This college has awarded as the best college by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and ranked top five colleges in Pune district. Also a number of awards for publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different society.

The college also offers three years undergraduate courses in Commerce streams with various specializations and offers two years postgraduate courses in Commerce stream under Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. It also offers Career Oriented, Diploma, and Distance Education courses.
