M.E.S Kalladi College, Mannarkkad (Dist. Palakkad) is Muslim Minority College was established in 1967 and managed by Muslim Educational Society (R), which was established in 1964.

The college has been granted minority status by the Minority Commission of India.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with University of Calicut, Malappuram and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (2nd Cycle) in 2013.

The aim of the college was to focus on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the magic lying dormant inside all of its students.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Palakkad played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Presently M.E.S. has a medical college, Dental College and Nursing College at Perinthalmanna, Engineering Colleges at Kuttippuram, Kunnukara and Chathannoor, Training Colleges at Edathala and Edathanattukara and Aided Arts and Science Colleges at Mannarkad, Ponnani, Kodungallur, Mampad, Valanchery, Nedumkandam & Marampally.

There are 20 self-financing Arts and Science Colleges, Higher Secondary Schools, Orphanages, Hospitals etc. are successfully running at various parts of Kerala under Muslim Educational Society.

This was the first Arts and Science college started by the MES and is also the felicious outcome with the noble endeavor of the late Kalladi Cheriya Kunhammed Sahib and the local public.

The college started functioning as a Junior College in 1967. Later the college was upgraded as Post Graduate College in 1978 with the introduction of M.Com.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The student's admission is done as per the admission criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.

The college offers three years undergraduate and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations under the University of Calicut, Malappuram. It also offers Ph.D. and Add-On course.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Calicut, Malappuram, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
