Majhihira Ashram Primary Teachers’ Training, Purulia was established in 2003.

The institute offers two year Diploma in Education course to provide trained primary teachers to the society.

Majhihira Ashram Primary Teachers’ Training Institute is affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The college is a co-educational institute, which is run by Majhihira National Basic Educational Institution (MNBEI).
