Mahendra College of Engineering (MCE), Salem was established in 2005. The college is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University.

Mahendra College of Engineering is one of the premier institutions of Mahendra Educational Trust established in the year 2005 to meet out the higher education needs of the students who seek to stand as Engineers and Scientists. This institution is recognized by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University and accredited by NAAC. It is located in Minnampalli, on the Salem-Chennai highway, the campus is bounded on the east by Attur, on the west by Salem, on the south by Namakkal and on the north by Dharmapuri.

This institution has been created with good infrastructure with high configured computers, internet facility, smart board enabled class rooms and Wi-Fi facility across the campus. There are separate hostels for boys and girls within a college premises.

A student has a lot of opportunities to take part in sports and games, recreational & co-curricular activities and cultural through various club activities. Students will find an academic and social environment where everyone- from faculty members to peers help shape their future. Students can enhance their knowledge through conducting seminars, workshops, symposiums, conferences etc.,
