Mahatma Gandhi Degree College, Atreyapuram was established in 1993.

Its affiliated to Andhra University and accreditated by NAAC with 'A' Grade.

The college was started after the establishment of Mahatma Gandhi Educational Society in 1948 and Mahatma Gandhi Junior College in 1963.

All the three Educational Institutions are at present governed by the Board of Directors and the President Sri Namburi Rama Raju former founder member.

The college has a total strength of 325 varying every year.

The full fledged faculty and the Principal thrive to establish model standards and the Results are far superior to other neighboring Degree Colleges.
