Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga was established in 1963.

Its affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

MR Medical College or Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College (also known as MRMC) has been among the prominent institutions offering education in the country. Karnataka state has been the beneficiary by the armed forces of this institution from the last 30 years.

The college was established by the Hyderabad Karnataka Education (HKE) Society with an idea to boost the educationally diffident region of Karnataka State. The institute offers a extensive range of courses for the medical aspirants. MRMC is affiliated to Visvevaraya University, Belgaum.

The former students of the institution are effectively serving within dissimilar parts of the country and abroad. This institute also got recognition from Medical Council of India (MCI) in the year 1972. It serves as a pleasing venue for delegates who come to attend various conferences hosted by the College. Emphasis in all the departments is on applied and Clinical aspects of subjects and all Departments.
