MAEER's MIT Institute of Design (MITID), Pune was established in August 2006 under the guidance of today's leading minds of Design education in India and managed by MIT Group of Institutions which was established as a society and charitable trust in 1983.

It is one of the premier institute established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The MAEER was also known as The Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research including with different institutions.

It is affiliated with the MIT University, Pune and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The institute aims at leveraging India's heritage, design capabilities, aesthetics and creative genius to become a Design Hub.

The MIT Group of Institutions has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India.
