LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur was established in 2003. It is a deemed university.

It is a public-private partnership university jointly set-up by the Government of Rajasthan and the Lakshmi & Usha Mittal Foundation as an autonomous non-profit organization.

The main objective of the university is to provide quality education having research focus, so that students graduating out of the Institute can make significant contributions to the industries.

To establish world class platform for creation of knowledge through quality research and its dissemination through technologically enabled teaching - learning pedagogy in the field of science, technology, engineering, arts and management.

Scholarship

Provides financial support in the form of Teaching/ Research Assistantships (TA/ RA) to GATE/NET/SET/JAM qualified students

Few scholarships are also available to non-GATE/UGC-NET/SET qualified candidates on case-to-case basis

Scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students based on the following criteria:

1st semester:

Top rankers of JEE Advanced examination

Students admitted via the meritorious students of Rajasthan State Board mode

2nd semester onwards:

Academic performance at LNMIIT, namely Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)>9.0

Summer Training Programs

Offers an industrial training to about 25 meritorious students from the 3rd year, at ArcelorMittal Steel Plant, Kazakhstan every year

Facilitate student exchange programmes, under which students get an opportunity to spend a semester at elite institutions like Knoesis Centre, Ohio State University, USA; IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Delhi

Students get a chance to receive training at CERN, Switzerland, which is one of the world s largest laboratories founded by the European union

Summer projects are also undertaken at elite institutes including IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Delhi and BITS Pilani

Students go to various research labs and universities worldwide for summer projects which include:
