Lewa Educational Union's Dr. Annasaheb G. D. Bendale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jalgaon was established in 1984 and managed by the Lewa Educational Union (R), which founded in 1916.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 18th March 1991 & 12(B) on 12th September 1994 under Act, 1956.
 
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.11 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 5th January 2013. It is also certified with ISO - 9001:2008 Certification.

The aim of the college is an overall educative experience for women than just academic pursuits, to face all the challenges in to-day's competitive world,

The college has committed itself to provide quality education to all state and becoming the center of excellence in the process of facilitating effective teaching and learning with several career-oriented traditional and specialty programs.

It is women private institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Jalgaon played a pioneering role in the field of higher education. the campus is located in another city also as a different name of institutions.

The college was awarded "Best College in Sports" by North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon for last five years and conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college has started the opening of educational institutions for women at the place in a phased manner & as on date opportunities for education are available for women from K.G.

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce streams with various optional specializations under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The college is proud to be a complete undergraduate Women's Education College offering undergraduate courses in Arts faculty (Bachelor of Arts), Commerce faculty (Bachelor of Commerce) & Science faculty (Bachelor of Science). They also offer Post-Graduate courses in Economics, Commerce & Computer Science along with various Doctorate & Career Oriented Courses.

The college has some specific programmes for students as "Learn and Earn Scheme", in which we provide part-time work to needy students in college after their learning time.

The college is running some professional courses to provide opportunities to students to get the jobs. i.e. Web Design, Animation and Beauty Therapy & Hair Dressing. We have placement cell in the college. Our student's counseling cell guide the students for their academic pursuits. The college has some competitive, training programmes for MPSC, UPSC etc.
