Late Vasantdada Polytechnic, Nagpur was established in 1990 vide Directorate of Technical Education letter No. 2/NGP/ 1090.

The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), New Delhi.

The Diploma Courses run by the Institution are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (M.S.B.T.E.), Mumbai.

The Institute is located at New Nandanvan, Nagpur.
