LMCP was founded in the year 1947, by the most trust and philanthropic educational trust Ahmedabad Education Society, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.

The college is affiliated to Gujarat University and Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and approved by PCI and AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NAAC with A grade.

The college has been run by Ahmedabad Education Society. The major strength of the college is the experienced staff members and modern research laboratories.
