K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, Mumbai, is a minority constituent college of Hinduja Group, was established in 1974 by late Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja and managed by P.D. Hinduja Trust, which was established in 1944.

The college is affiliated with University of Mumbai, Mumbai and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 9th August 2004 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A+" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.59 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 30th October 2017. The college has been awarded a certificate of ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

The aim of the college is to create a totally unique model, that unique model call for big investments in high growth core which will be made in India

It is a co-educational private college providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Mumbai played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college which started with a single Commerce course today offers 25 courses from the higher secondary up to the doctorate level and includes the Commerce, Science, and Arts streams.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports, and curricular activities under the University of Mumbai, Mumbai and 3rd rank among the commerce colleges in Mumbai by A.C. Nelsen Org.

The college conferred the status as "College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)" by the University Grants Commission on 1st April 2016.

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate courses in Science, Commerce, and Management stream with various specializations under the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. It also offers Add-On courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Mumbai, Mumbai and various other examinations are held in the college premises. The admission criteria for the college is strictly based on Merit and Written Test.
