Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering, (KLCE-G) affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur was established by Late Sri Koneru Lakshmaiah & Sri K.Satyanarayana in 1980.

Late Sri Koneru Lakshmaiah, the founder of a number of industries in Vijayawada, observed the lack of talented engineers in the region and decided to set up an Engineering College in the rural setting, for benefiting the local population.

The college is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. 

Entrepreneurship

Center for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CIIE) of KL University arranges programmes & activities to motivate and inspire students to become potential entrepreneurs. Aspiring Entrepreneurs Meet (AEM), Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP), hackathons, boot camps, ideathons etc are the various events promoted in the campus to increase the number of startups according to student ideations

Alumni Association

The KL University’s Alumni Association conducts and sponsors seminars, conferences, executive development programs, & research studies that are aimed at creating/disseminating knowledge and improving professional practices for the Alumni/Students/Professional of KL University.

Twinning Programs

Twinning Programs involve partial study at KL University and rest of the studies at the Partner University. The scheme provides the advantage of recognition of their degrees in both the countries either for placements or higher studies. KL University has acquired many such partnerships with foreign universities specially, in countries like Australia, UK, Ireland and USA.
