KLE Society's Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science & Commerce College, Chikodi (Dist. Belagavi) was established on 15th June 1969. It is established under the management of KLE Society which was established in 1916.

It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 1st June 1972 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.26 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 16th September 2016.

Since the year of inception, the college has been pioneers to motivate and develop competence in students who are basically from socially and economically disadvantaged groups.

The campus is spread over an area of 23.12 acres. The college provides education in Arts, Science, and Commerce. IGNOU and KSOU Study centers have been functioning to reach the unreached.

Besides, the college offers BBA, BCA and PG Course in Commerce and Management. The college has been a member of APQN (Asia Pacific Quality Network). The college also offers various Diploma, Certificate, & Add-On courses.

The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
Transportation facility is available for the students
The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject

The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
