Kidderpore College, Kolkata was established in 1966 and is situated in Kabirtirtha, the college started with the objective of imparting education to the first generation learners of the Dock-Port area of Kidderpore which has a large multilingual (Urdu & Hindi) composition.

The College is affiliated to the University of Calcutta.

The college was recognized by UGC under 2f and 2B in 1969.

The college has total land area of about one third of an acre.

The overall mission and goals of the college is academic excellence : Advancement of Knowledge and Quality, Man Making and Nurturing Cultural Pluralism and Harmony through the curricula it offers.
