Khandesh Education Society’s Pratap College, Amalner (Dist. Jalgaon) was established on 20th June 1945 and managed under Khandesh College Education Society (KCES) which was established in 1914.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is at present affiliated with  North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon formerly affiliated with University of Mumbai, Mumbai (From 1945 to 1949) & Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (From 1949  to 1990).

It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956 and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.30 on a 4 Point Scale in the 2nd cycle) on 30th November 2011.

The college main aim is to graduate well-educated students who are prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing, increasingly complex world and to be a pre-eminent educational institution that prepares students from diverse backgrounds for productive careers by providing them with a student-centered, practically focused quality learning experience.

Khandesh Education Society has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India.

It is a co-educational self-financed private institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Jalgaon played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

This college has awarded as the best college by the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Also Numbers of an award in publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different society.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college was also recognized & conferred the status as “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)" by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi on 21st July 2010 & 4th February 2014 respectively.

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts and Science streams with optional specialization under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The college also offers three years undergraduate & three years postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce stream with various specializations under North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It also offers various Doctorate & Add-On Certificate courses.
