Khagarijan College, Nagaon was established in 1972. It is affiliated to the Gauhati University, Guwahati.

It is as one of the premier colleges of Assam. Prior to being provincialised , the college was under the deficit system of grants-in-aid of the State Govt., It is now managed by a Governing Body constituted by the Govt. of Assam as per provisions of the Assam Non-Govt. College Management Rules, 2001.

It is located on the outskirts of the town of Nagaon, beside the Nagaon-Dakhinpat road. Prior to being provincialised, the college was under the deficit system of grants-in-aid of the State Govt.

It is now managed by a Governing Body constituted by the Govt. of Assam as per provisions of the Assam Non-Govt. College Management Rules, 2001. Thirty-five years of existence is a major milestone for any institution. During these thirty-five years, many young men and women have passed through our portals and emerged as strong capable citizens of our country.
