Kashmir Womens College of Education, Sopore was established in 2002.

It is temporarily affiliated with the University of Kashmir and recognised by the J&K Govt. to impart instructions in the B.Ed. course for girls students only.

The college has rich collection of books on text, reference and general nature.

The college has also made available local as well as national news papers in addition to the magazines and journals in the library.

The college offers 6 optional subjects namely Hindi, Punjabi, Mathematics, Bio-Science,Physical Education and English in addition to the core courses.

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the University.
