Kandivli Education Society's B.K. Shroff College of Arts and M.H. Shroff College of Commerce, Mumbai was also known as Kandivli Education Society's Arts & Commerce College, Mumbai was established on 16th June 1989 and managed under Kandivli Education Society (R), which is established in 1936.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, Mumbai in 2009 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) 16th February 2010 under Act, 1956.
 
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.16 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 10th March 2012.

As an addition to its activities, Kandivali Education Society’s Junior College in June 1976 and upgraded it into a Degree College of Arts & Commerce in 1989.

The history of the college is S.V.P Jr College (Commerce) merged with KES Degree College in 1999 and renamed as KES Shroff College in 2006.

The Kandivli Education Society has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India.

It is a co-educational private institute, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of Mumbai played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

This college has awarded as the best college by the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. Also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different society. The college is also ISO 9001: 2008 Certified.

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, & Commerce streams with various optional specializations under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The college offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate programs in Arts, Commerce, & Management stream with various specializations for the students under the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. The college also offers Diploma & Add-On Certificates courses for the students.
