Established in 2011 under Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operations) Act 2005 and under section 2 (f) of UGC Act 1956, Kalinga University is one of the premier teaching and research institutions imparting higher education in the country.

Aspirants who have passed 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserve category) from a recognised board are considered eligible for admission to undergraduate courses.

Applicants with the bachelor's degree of minimum three years with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognised university are considered eligible to get admission in any postgraduate courses.
