The Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal was established in 1959.

Its affiliated to Kakatiya University.

The college is dedicated in providing medical education to the young students in Warangal.

The Warangal Regional Medical Education society founded the college, with active support of the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the Director of Medical services, and the Warangal District Collector.

The principal objective of the KMC, Warangal is to provide Medical education for students of the Telangana region of the state.

The then Honourable Minister of Health, Government of India, Sri P. Karnakar inaugurated the college on 23rd July 1959.
