Kishan Lal Public College, Rewari was popularly known as K.L.P. College. Rewari was established in 1964 by truly nationalists people in the revered memory of Sh. Kishan Lal Sharma, husband of Late Smt. Javitri Devi.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The governing body of the college under Public Education Board, Rewari, has been running the institution on the path of progress with utmost dedication and enthusiasm.

The college is at present affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (in 1st Cycle) on 21st March 2003.

This college has the distinction of being one of the oldest colleges in Haryana. Today, college can boast of a special campus, state-of-art infrastructural facilities and highly acclaimed faculty trained at leading universities in India.

Though the primary stress of the college is on achieving academic excellence, yet we also provide various opportunities to help students to enhance their knowledge and skills in the areas that we believe are important for their all round development.

The college has always been at the forefront in educational innovations. As the college going to celebrate golden jubilee (1964-2014) this year, it aims to achieve higher distinctions and impart quality education.

Notwithstanding its name, students from all religions have grown up here and excelled in the chosen areas of their interests, be it academic, sports and extracurricular activities.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream and offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts & Commerce stream. It also offers some Management & Sef-financing courses.

  • A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
