K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE), Mumbai was established in 1983 .

KJSCE is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

It was the first engineering college in Maharashtra to get accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (New Delhi) in 1997.
