JNN Institute of Engineering (JNNIE), Chennai was established in 2008 by the Alamelu Ammaal Educational Trust to cherish the memory of the chairman's mother Smt.Alamelu Ammaal.

It imparts training for students to make them competent, motivated engineers and managers.

The institute encourages growth, cultivates vision, freedom of thought and further inculcates human values and concern for the environment and society.

It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai.
