O.P. Jindal established the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Sonipat in 2009. It is a constituent school of Jindal Global University (JGU). Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is affiliated to the O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. The Law School is approved and recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

Jindal Global Law School is a part of the Jindal Global University. It is the first non-profit global university that was established by the Government of Haryana. It was also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The Jindal Global University has awarded the Law School in the fields of sports, education and extracurricular activities. Among prominent law colleges in India, the college was ranked first. It has been recognised by the Ernst & Young – FICCI report as a “Premium Higher Education Institute”.

The Law School has an LL.B. programme which is for three years, a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme of five years, a B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme for five years and an LL.M. programme for one year.

The BA.LL.B (Hons) programme which is of five years includes twelve courses in humanities and social sciences. The B.B.A. L.L.B (Hons) programme which is of five years includes twelve courses in management, commerce, and business.

With top institutions and universities across the world, Jindal Global Law School has entered into exchange programmes, collaborations and research partnerships and other systems of interaction and engagement.

Jindal Global Law School has designed its own selection process, which is not like the case in other colleges under Jindal Global University.

Students intending to get admission at the college should register with JGLS. The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) needs to be cleared based on which admission is given at the college.
