Jeevan College of Education, Trichy was established in 1976.

Its affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

It is a unique non-minority self-financing College of Education in Tamil Nadu.

The Institute has obtained the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi to run a college of education with the courses of B.Ed & M.Ed.

The College also obtained the affiliation to run a new college of education with B.Ed & M.Ed course from Bharthidasan University, Trichy as well as Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.

The College is managed under the Jeevan Educational Charitable Trust formed by some dedicated and dynamic personalities with the noble cause of providing employment opportunity to the youth of this constituency and to prepare them professionally competent and committed teachers in this backward area.

The aim of the Trust is to produce sincere, hard-working, dedicated and competent teachers in high school education who can try new innovative thinking and practices in their class rooms. The Institute will aim at producing learner-friendly teachers who can harness the available resources in the community.

The Institute promises to render service to student population from lower state of the society in this area and faster a high standard of education by a team of dedicated and experienced faculty members at all levels.
