Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur,Bihar (Formerly, Bhagalpur Medical College Bhagalpur) was founded in the year 1970 under the management of Dept. of Health, Medical education and F.W, Govt. of Bihar.

The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna (Formerly to Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur university, Bhagalpur).

100 students are admitted annually before 31st July and classes are taken from 1st August. The process of admission is completed on or before 30th September every year.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To develop a pattern of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to demonstrate high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.

To bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of the personnel in all important branches of the health activity.

To attain self sufficiency in postgraduate in medical education.
