About Jain University, Bengaluru
Jain University, Bengaluru was informally known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College established in 1990 is a renowned university in Bengaluru and leader in learning, teaching, and research and managed by Jain University Trust.
The University is declared deemed to be University under UGC act by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.31 on a 4 Point Scale) in 2017.
The University has been awarded a certificate of ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
The University aims brings in thought leadership with a blend of academic rigour and a hands-on applicability to real-world issues. The learning environment is enriched by a team of highly talented & motivated faculty and staff and an illustrious leadership.
It is a co-educational self-financed University, providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The University also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports, and curricular activities and ranked top 5 private University in India
The University offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management stream with various specialization. It also offers Add-On Certification.
The University also offers UGC sponsored as well as self-financed certificate and diploma courses for students to pursue with the mainstream programs.

The students attend the interview/counseling as per the schedules intimated through call letters send via email and shortlisted applicants after the interview can proceed with the remaining admission formalities.

- The University has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 26th February 2005 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The University runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs

- The University also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the girls coming from far-off places
- The University has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The University also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The University also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The University Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The University consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
